Vicarage Tower is a 13th century two storey stone pele-tower, with a line of dog-tooth
ornament below the parapet. Known as King Edward's Tower after King Edward I lodged
there on his three visits to Lanercost. Lanercost
Prior's Tower is part of the priory buildings and 4 miles north-east is Birdoswald
Bastle House.
Lanercost Vicarage Tower is part of the Augustinian priory remains, 2 miles north-east of Brampton. 13 miles north-east of Carlisle on the A689-A69.
