Haverfordwest Castle Haverfordwest Castle was originally a Norman stone keep and bailey fortress, founded by Gilbert de Clare. Of the large outer ward only two turrets survive, the inner ward has a high curtain wall, four towers and two fine ranges of buildings. Visit pending. 6 miles north-east is Wiston Castle and 12 miles south is Pembroke Castle.

Haverfordwest Castle is located in the town centre, off Church Street. 11 miles north-west of Pembroke, on the A477-A4076.

The site is managed by Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority and is visible from the road.

Car parking is in the castle grounds.
