Haverfordwest Castle Haverfordwest Castle was originally an early 12th century fortress, founded by Takard, a Fleming. Of the large outer ward only two turrets survive, the inner ward has a high curtain wall, four towers and two fine ranges of buildings. Visit pending. 6 miles north-east is Wiston Castle and 12 miles south is Pembroke Castle.

Haverfordwest Castle is located in the town centre, off Church Street. 11 miles north-west of Pembroke, on the A477-A4076.

The site is managed by the Haverfordwest Town Museum and is open, April to October Monday to Saturday 10:00-4:00pm.

Car parking is in the castle grounds.
