Haltwhistle TowerHaltwhistle Tower is a 15th/16th century three storey stone pele-tower, with a plain corbelled parapet and a gabled caphouse. Originally the tower was free standing, with a northern first floor entrance and an anti-clockwise spiral stair, that gave access to all the floors. The attached three storey wing, is 18th century and in 1996-97 the interior was completely refurbished. Nearby are Haltwhistle Castle and Haltwhistle Bastle 1-5 and 6 miles north-east is Housesteads Bastle.

Haltwhistle Tower is located in the town centre, off Main Street. 21 miles north-east of Carlisle, on the A69.

The site is a privately owned hotel and is visible from from the road. Access is restricted to guests with reservations for an overnight stay or dining in the restaurant.
