Langton Mound is a low flat-topped mound, encased by the remnants of a ditch. Standing by St Andrew's Church, the mound doesn't offer any clues to its past. There was a castle recorded here in the medieval period but the earthwork platform to the west of the village, is probably its remains. 4 miles south is Acklam Castle.
