Rushbury
Castle is a large low earthwork motte and bailey fortress. The motte is
surrounded by a dry ditch and the bailey retains part of its rampart and
ditch. 3 miles south-west is Middlehope
Castle and 5 miles south-east is Holdgate
Castle.
Rushbury Castle is located in the village centre, at the junction of Rushbury Road. 15 miles south of Shrewsbury on the A49-B4371.
The site is visible from the road. Car parking is by the side of the road.
