St Pierre Manor was originally an 11th century hunting lodge, founded by King Harold. A later 14th century manor house, was absorbed in the construction of the early Tudor mansion house, which now stands on the site. The large single vehicular archway, in the three storey twin-towered gatehouse, gives access to the courtyard. Visit pending. Nearby is Moynes Court and 3 miles north-east is Chepstow Castle.
