Moynes Court
ST 520-909 Monmouthshire Wales

Moynes CourtMoynes Court was originally a 13th century stone fortified manor house, founded by Sir Bogo de Knovil. The large oval platform encased by a ditch, with a counterscarp bank, now supports an early Tudor three gabled mansion house. A 14th century gatehouse, with a large single vehicular archway gives access to the courtyard. Of two storeys and an attic, it is flanked on both gables by tall square towers. Nearby by is St Pierre Manor and 2 miles north-east is Chepstow Town Gate.
