Cromwell's Castle is a stone 17th century circular artillery tower, with a low 18th century gun platform, that has its own access and guard room. Built on a promontory, to guard the anchorage between Bryher and Tresco, the large three storey tower, supports a platform, pierced by six gun-ports. Visit pending. 4 miles south-east is Star Castle.
