Wraysholme Tower is a 15th century stone three storey tower house, founded by the Harrington family of Gleaston. The pele tower is rectangular in shape, with a small projecting garderobe tower at the south-east corner. At roof level are the remains of a parapet and three corner turrets, with the site of a later hall house covered by a 19th century farmhouse. 2 miles north is Cartmel Priory Gatehouse.
Wraysholme Tower is located south of Allithwaite, off Wraysholme Lane. 27 miles north-west of Lancaster, on the M6-A590-B5277.
The site is visible from the road.
