Hathersage
Castle (Camp Green) is a badly damaged earthwork motte and bailey. Church
Bank (road) cuts through the site but offers a fine view of the motte
(which has also been cut through) and the bailey which retains part of
its rampart. 4 miles west is Hope Castle
and 6 miles west is Peveril Castle.
Hathersage Castle is located high above the village centre, off Church Bank which cuts through the site. 11 miles south-west of Sheffield on the A625.
The site is visible from the side of the road and from a public footpath which runs from Church Bank to the church. Car parking is by the side of the road.
