Ashley Green House is a medieval fortified manor house, standing in the corner of a large ditched enclosure. A rectangular platform encased by a moat, supports a brick and stone manor house and the remnants of a curtain wall, pierced by a gatehouse. Of three bays, with a 16th century roof, the house still retains a wooden arched doorhead, that once gave access to a stair or garderobe tower. 3 miles north-west is Hawridge Court and 5 miles south-west is Little Missenden Castle.
