Lasborough Castle
ST 824-941 Gloucestershire England

Lasborough Castle Lasborough Castle is a probable medieval earthwork motte, which is badly damaged by quarrying. This low motte or round barrow has been ploughed down on its west side and there is now no evidence of an external ditch or a bailey. A northern ditched enclosure, appears to be associated with and orientated on the mound. This is possibly a medieval curvilinear enclosure that tapers towards the south end, with a possible entrance located on the north side. Across Hay Bottom is Newington Bagpath Castle Mound and 3 miles east is Beverstone Castle.
