Chepstow Port Wall
ST 533-941

In the 13th century, Roger Bigod, earl of Norfolk founded Port Wall, to protect the medieval town and port of Chepstow. From the castle, it originally cut off a loop in the River Wye and was flanked by ten D-shaped towers and the Town Gate. The Port Wall are owned by Cadw and is freely accessible in daylight hours.
