Lincluden College Tower is a 16th century stone tower house, built by the Provost William Stewart after the Reformation. The three storey range immediately adjacent to the church was fortified, with a projecting semi-octagonal stair turret with gunloops, guarding the ground floor entrances and a four storey tower at its northern end. The tower is sited in the bailey of Lincluden Castle and 2 miles south is Dumfries Castle.
