Lincluden College TowerLincluden College Tower is a 16th century stone tower house, built by the Provost William Stewart after the Reformation. The three storey range immediately adjacent to the church was fortified, with a projecting semi-octagonal stair turret with gunloops, guarding the ground floor entrances and a four storey tower at its northern end. The tower is sited in the bailey of Lincluden Castle and 2 miles south is Dumfries Castle.

Lincluden College Tower is located north of Dumfries town centre, off Abbey Lane. 1 mile north of Dumfries on the A780-A76.


The site is owned by Historic Scotland and is open daily, April to September 9:30-6:30pm, October to March 9:30-4:30pm. Car parking is by the side of the road.
