Castle was a stone 16th century Z-plan tower house, which has been absorbed in
the construction of a early Victorian Gothic mansion, with a remarkable interior.
4 miles north-east at Weem is Menzies Castle.
Taymouth Castle is located north-east of Kenmore, off the A827. 35 miles north-west of Perth, on the A9-A827.
The site is owned by Taymouth Castle Estate but the castle is not open to the public. The grounds are a golf course, with the drives having public access.
