Fetteresso
Castle was originally a 14th century stone tower house, founded by the Keith Earls
Marischal. In the late 17th century, the Duffs absorbed the tower house, in the
construction of a mansion, which has been altered and extended over the centuries.
Abandoned in the 20th century and has now been converted into seven private apartments.
Visit pending. 4 miles south-east is Dunnottar Castle
and 13 miles north-west is Crathes Castle.
Fetteresso Castle is located west of Kirktown of Fetteresso, off the A90. 17 miles south of Aberdeen, on the A90.
The site as been converted to private apartments and is visible from the road.
Car parking is by the side of the road.
