Duntulm
Castle
NG 410-743 Inverness-shire Scotland
Duntulm Castle was originally an Iron Age broch or dun, which later became a Pictish fort. In the 15th century, the MacLeods founded the stone castle on the promontory, when adding a keep protected by a ditch. In the early 17th century the MacDonalds of Sleat, moved here from Dun Scaith and added the range of buildings around the courtyard but sadly the castle is now just a ruin. Visit pending. 25 miles south-west is Dunvegan
Castle.
