White Lea Bastle HouseWhite Lea Bastle House is a typical 16th century stone two storey fortified farmhouse, which was substantially altered in the late 17th century. Within the strong walls, farmers and reivers found security for their livestock on the ground floor and for their family above. To the south of the Ayle Burn is Clarghyll Hall.

The site is visible from the road.
