Low Row Bastle HouseLow Row Bastle is an interesting 17th century stone two storey defensible farmhouse, this bastle-derivative house has substantial 18th century alterations. The strong walls, with a removable stair up to the living quarters and a ground floor for stores and their livestock, provided a shelter from the cross-border reivers, until help arrived. Half a mile south is High Row Bastle.

Low Row Bastle is located north of Alston, off the A686. 23 miles north-east of Penrith, on the A686 and local road.

The site is visible from the road.

Car parking is by the side of the road.
