Blagill Bastle House is a complex stone fortified farmhouse, which has been substantially altered, with a possible small tower, absorbed within this extended two storey bastle house. Within the strong walls, farmers and reivers found security for their livestock on the ground floor and for their family above. 2 miles south-east is High Lovelady Shield Bastle House.
