Hobs Moat
SP 146-826 West Midlands England

Hobs MoatHobs Moat is a 12th century fortified manor house, founded by William de Odingsells. The large rectangular earthwork platform, is powerfully encased by a rampart, a wide ditch and a counterscarp bank. Excavations of this fine example of a medieval moated homestead, revealed 13th century occupation. 8 miles west is Weoley Castle and 8 miles south-east is Baddesley Clinton Hall.
