Broncroft Castle is a late 14th century stone fortified manor house, founded by Sir Roger Burley. Held by the Royalists in 1642 and after the Civil War it was ordered to be slighted but restored in the mid 17th century. In 1889 James Whitaker extensively rebuilt the castle and now the two towers, one with a stair turret are only original at the bottom storeys and are now connected by a 19th century range. 2 miles south-west is Corfham Castle and 3 miles north-east is Holdgate Castle.
Broncroft Castle is located west of Tugford, off Sandy Lane. 23 miles south of Shrewsbury on the A49-B4371-4368.
