Castle Hill Malpas
SJ 486-472 Cheshire England

Castle HillCastle Hill is a dominating earthwork motte, founded by Robert de Malopassu. The large 11th century flat-topped motte is situated in strategic position on a spur of the Broxton Hills. The position of the bailey has been lost but it was probably originally attached to the south side of mound. 5 miles north-west is Shocklach Castle and 9 miles north-east is Beeston Castle.
