Pelham Castle
TL 425-312 Hertfordshire England

Pelham Castle Pelham Castle is a small Norman earthwork motte, founded by Maurice, Bishop of London. The base of the motte is encased by a dry ditch, with a counterscarp bank but the position of the bailey has been lost. The dense cover of trees, makes it best viewed in winter. 2 miles north-east is Anstey Castle.
